Dear Tim and family: I am sad to hear Jim's passing. He has touched many lives, and I have always prided to have him as my mentor. His ideas are still guiding my career.

One of my memorable times with Jim was when we shared a small hotel room at Kyoto with him for several days. Every morning when I woke up I would find him up folding his famous origami. He purchased origami paper at Japanese department stores. I have kept several of his cranes as a souvenir after so many years.

I know that Jim will not be forgotten for a very long time.
